Erin is originally from London, Canada, and her curiosity about the world led her to her first overseas teaching job at the Alexandria International School, in Egypt, followed by a position at the Seoul International School, Korea, before arriving at NAISR 17 years ago. She was an elementary classroom teacher for 10 years before becoming the EAL coordinator 7 years ago.
Passionate about languages and learning, she enjoys working closely with teachers to help make learning accessible for all students. She understands the importance of a student centered environment, where students learn through social interaction and collaboration while engaging with tasks that encourage negotiation and discussion.
In addition to her work in the classroom, Erin has led staff development working in the area of differentiation, and she is currently working on the assessment committee to improve teaching and assessment practices at NAISR.
