Graduating with an MA from Edinburgh University, Helen first began teaching 12 years ago. taught young children in Japan for seven years and in that time wrote curriculum, planned and ran summer schools and developed classes individually tailored to children's particular needs. Helen also has experience working with children in a special needs school and a primary school in Scotland and was a volunteer on a helpline for young people in London. Helen is passionate about educating young children and finding new ways to harness their curiosity and energy. When she was a stay at home mum, Helen set up an educational blog to share craft ideas, fun activities and new music on the children’s music scene. Helen is a mother of two and comes from a family of teachers. She has always had a passion for teaching others and learning new things herself. Having lived on three continents, and travelled extensively, she loves learning about different cultures and trying new things. She is a keen runner and did her first marathon for charity last year.
