Sally Scrymgeour

Sally Scrymgeour

Lead IMYC & IPC teacher, Head of UNICEF Collaboration

Sally received her degree in Sport, Physical Education and Community Studies from Birmingham University in the year 2000 before going on to complete her PGCE in Primary Education the following year. She taught in the UK for over 12 years before moving to teach in Shanghai, China in 2012.

Sally has 20 years of teaching experience across Primary age groups. She has worked with children from a wide range of backgrounds and enjoys the challenge of developing children’s skills and knowledge. As a leader, Sally has held the roles of Head of School and also SENCo, which enabled her to utilize her experience and educational knowledge to impact the students in her care.

In her spare time, Sally looks forward to spending quality time with her family; she has active twin boys to keep her busy. Sally has a passion for sport and enjoys team games such as netball and hockey, as well as challenging herself as a runner and gym member.

Sally is looking forward to joining the NAISNY school community and experiencing family life in New York.

Although Sarah has specialized in the Early Years, she has experience of studying and working with children requiring additional and special education needs, including with the Open University. Sarah is a mother of five children and therefore brings a wealth of personal experience to our Early Years at NAISNY!
