Sara comes to NAISNY with over 11 years of experience in education. She has worked in a variety of educational settings, from developing an arts program for underprivileged children in Germantown, PA, to teaching IB curriculum at an international school in Shanghai, China. She comes from small town on the outskirts of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where her love for art and interest in teaching blossomed. She obtained a BFA in Painting and Art Therapy from Arcadia University in Pennsylvania, and taught at several art centres during her time at college. Sara spent a year in AmeriCorps in Philadelphia, and shortly after, travelled overseas to Shanghai, China to teach Visual Arts at the Western International School of Shanghai. After over seven years living and teaching in Shanghai, Sara moved back to the USA to continue her career. While not at school, Sara is an avid artist and designer, and has a passion for illustration. She absolutely loves bringing the magic of art to the students of NAISNY, and looks forward to more artistic creations!
