MUN Trip to Geneva Our secondary students flew to Geneva to join the annual MUN event to debate the major world issues with other young diplomats. 20200207_092802_hero

Our Model United Nations trip really couldn't have been any better. Who doesn’t love making new friends, learning new things about public speaking, and, of course, debating!

We got a chance to do so many fantastic things like sightseeing, eating, dancing, playing, and debating, and the award ceremony and gala dinner was something I was very pleased I was able to attend.

Our visit to the actual United Nations building was simply phenomenal. I'm so glad I got to see the beautiful conference rooms with incredibly touching background stories and emotive paintings.

Many people don't talk about their bus rides when they visit a new country but my bus ride is definitely worth talking about. Have you ever looked outside the window during a long bus ride and wished something beautiful would pop up for you to see? Well I didn’t need to wish.

The golden sun just rising from behind the snow-capped mountains reaching for the sky; there were no factories or pollution; vineyards and green forest filled my eyes. I couldn’t have been further from boredom for the whole bus ride. If only every bus or car ride could be the same!

During our visit, we learnt so much. A huge amount of new facts, even about our own countries and the countries of the others in the room. I found it so engaging discussing the global problems of our day; child hunger and poverty, no access to clean water, and more.

Everything about this trip really was first class and I truly enjoyed it - even more so with my new friends. Thank you for such a fantastic trip!
