LANGUAGES AT THE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF MOSCOW

Our supportive and enabling community is home to children and families from more than 50 countries. This is one of the reasons why we believe in the importance of learning languages, which not only contribute to our students' holistic development, but also enhance their future prospects.

At the International School of Moscow, we firmly believe in the importance of language learning.

Our high quality linguistic education fosters our students' curiosity and deepens their understanding of the world. It also gives them the opportunity to learn about other cultures.

As an international school, we recognise that learning about a host nation's culture - and gaining a command of the native language - is invaluable. This is why we offer Russian for both native and non-native speakers.

Regular (between two and three per week) language lessons are complemented by a rich programme of activities, educational trips, and whole school events that take place throughout the year.

From Year 5, children can choose to study French or Spanish. As they progress through Secondary school, they can choose these languages for their IGCSEs and A-levels.
