Staff Profile: Alison Marshall

Alison Marshall

Reception Class Teacher

Alison graduated from Keele University in 2007 with a 2:1 in Sociology and Criminology. She went on to complete a Primary PGCE at Manchester Metropolitan University and then began her teaching career in the North of England in sunny Manchester. Moving steadily south, she worked in Stockport for 2 years in Year 4 before heading to Valencia, Spain where she worked in Year 1 as a class teacher, AfL leader and Head of Year for 3 years. She has now made the easy decision to take a sharp turn heading east to Shanghai!

Alison really enjoys the creativity and variety of the Primary classroom, which she thinks is even more of a privilege in International Schools. She is excited about the challenges, experiences and cultural adventures she will undertake here in Shanghai and looks forward to all it has to offer, especially cooking up some delicious eastern dishes which she really enjoys.

Alison likes to spend her free time reading, watching live music and trying all sorts of new things. She is a keen traveller and loves to spend time experiencing other cultures; she is looking forward to seeing more of China whilst here in Shanghai.
