Today, Year 5 visited the Omni-Theatre at the Singapore Science Centre in order to discover more about space and the solar system as part of our project work.  We were treated to a digital movie in the planetarium to learn about the relationship between the sun moon and Earth and we also visited each of the planets in the solar system through a 3D presentation, zooming around space!

It was amazing to find out more about the planets and we got to shoot through our galaxy, visiting each planet in turn. Did you know the Jupiter is made up purely of gas? We also learnt how night and day happen as well as about the different phases of the moon.

We were lucky enough to also have a chance to visit the Science Centre where we explored different rocks which are found in Singapore as well as experiencing what it would be like inside a typhoon!

It was a great day out and we can't wait to use our new knowledge back in the classroom!
