你好!

The core learning objective of the Chinese Language curriculum for our Year 3 students this half term is for them to be able to introduce themselves in Mandarin. Our teaching team prepared some fun exercises where the students were able to exchange postcards with fellow Chinese Language students in another country.

This exercise was particularly interesting as the students had an opportunity to share details about their home country or the country where they are currently living, like Singapore. The students were very excited to share cultural information about their country as well as facts about food, lifestyle and festivals.

For this exercise, we partnered with Nord Anglia International School Dubai for the post card exchange. The students were able to have a real life experience of exchanging postcards with pen pals in Dubai.

Through this exercise, our team worked with the students on building their confidence step by step to explore the Chinese Language in a fun and engaging way. We enjoyed seeing the smiles on the students' faces when they received the post card replies from the students in Dubai!
