The children in 4SO had a wonderful time and relished this rare opportunity to tour a working Navy vessel. They were extremely interested throughout the tour and asked lots of insightful questions.

They were able to see all the different parts of the ship, meet several members of the crew and learn about the different jobs done on the ship, learn some naval terms, and even sit in the captain’s chair.

The children have since reflected on the experience and discussed how our IPC Learning Goals are used every day by the people working in the different roles aboard the ship.
