Year 5 travelled back in time for the exit point of their IPC topic ‘The Great, the Bold and the Brave’.
Year 5 have enjoyed working on the IPC topic The Great, The Bold and The Brave and learning more about history. For their exit point, teachers and students came to school dressed as though they were ancient Greeks, Romans, Saxons or Vikings.
The exit point was a whole day event and each Year 5 teacher delivered a specific lesson and each class in Year 5 was taught eight different skills or crafts associated with these ancient time periods. The children created Roman battle positions, participated in Greek theatre and created a range of accessories which might have been worn or used by an ancient invader or settler. A wonderful day where learning really came to life!
