4AV and 4RG came together to teach the rest of their peers in Upper Primary about Wesak Day (the reason why we had a long weekend).
Half of the children were dressed up as Buddhists and the others were celebrities. The celebrities wanted to find out about the Bhuddist way of life. First they taught them about Buddha and that Wesak Day is when Bhuddists celebrate Buddha’s Enlightenment. Then they showed them how Bhuddists live. They finished off with singing ‘Count on Me’ by Bruno Mars with a guitarist (Arjun) and ukuleleist (Kaj) accompanying them. This song reminded everyone that we all should be thoughtful, kind and caring to each other.
