Excellent iGCSE Results for Dover Court Students 2019/2020 We are delighted to announce another excellent set of iGCSE results for our DCIS students.

We are delighted to announce another excellent set of GCSE results for our DCIS students.

The 2019-2020 examination year was not like anything ever experienced before and we are immensely proud of the achievements of our students. 94% of our students achieved grades 4-9, including English and Maths, 72% achieved grades 5-9 and an impressive 50% of our students achived grades 7-9. These results are a testament to their hard work and the outstanding education delivered by the Dover Court teachers.

Mr Craig Bull, Dover Court's Head of Secondary said: 'These are an outstanding set of results and I am so proud of our students.  The grades that they have achieved are exactly what the students deserved following their hard work and commitment to their learning and the rigorous assessment and moderation process that took place by our staff.   The aspirations and stretch that our staff provide for our students is best demonstrated in that 50% of students achieved the top grades of 7-9 and that 12.5% achieved straight 8s and 9s. These grades are to be truly celebrated and congratulated.  We are also very privileged to have so many of our wonderful Year 11s return this August as DCIS Secondary Sixth Formers studying the IBDP and BTEC qualifications and we wish our leavers all the very best for the future.'

'Wider than these results, I am incredibly proud of the way our students have adapted, united and demonstrated fantastic resilience and determination to succeed during very difficult times and I am certain that these skills will serve them all well in the future as much as their grades will.' Mr Bull continued

'I would like to personally thank the DCIS Secondary teachers and associate staff that have support our Year 11 students this academic year but in particular, the last five or so months.  I am also incredibly grateful for the support of parents and the wider DCIS community.  It has been a very challenging time for all but I have been enamoured by the kind words of support we have all received and how united as a community our school has been.  We nor our students, could have done it without you!' Mr Bull said.

DCIS Interim Principal Ms Simon Mann said: 'Receiving our iGCSE results today was a wonderful ‘pick me up’ for our students, families and teachers. They are recognition of the commitment by our community to supporting this wonderful group of students though a very challenging culmination of their Year 11. The smiles and pride on show today as they picked up these outstanding set of results made it all worth while.'
