We kicked off on Monday with a 90 minute mime masterclass for Year 8 students and the atmosphere throughout was electric. Students were able to experiment with their physical skills and learnt about how to incorporate detail to enhance believability.

Following this, our GCSE Drama students in Years 9 and 10 were treated to mask masterclasses during lessons and had great fun exploring the comedy that be created through the use of full face Trestle masks. Centre Stage created a wonderful atmosphere which enhanced the students’ experience and enabled them to explore foundational skills in these new elements of performance.

Hopefully, this is just the start for the Drama Department’s Masterclass series of events, so look out for the next opportunities that we offer!
