Staff Profile: Mr Ian Rinaldi

Ian Rinaldi

Deputy Head of Upper Primary

Ian graduated from Edgehill University with a  BA Hons with QTS in 2007 .

Ian is a Deputy Head of Primary at DCIS and has led numerous whole school initiatives during his time here. He leads whole school Continuous Professional Development, manages areas of the Primary curriculum including Maths, IPC and assessment and regularly carries out internal and external teacher training. He has a passion for developing teachers and students and enjoys supporting them to be the very best they can be. He has completed the Nord Anglia Senior Leadership programme and uses the experiences gained to support staff and students at Dover Court.

Ian gained BA Hons with QTS in 2007. After qualifying, Ian taught in an ‘Outstanding’ Primary School in the North West of England and thoroughly enjoyed working in this successful school. By the end of his time there he had many responsibilities, including: Senior Leadership Team member, ITT mentor, School Governor and Key Stage 2 Coordinator; it was a role he relished and enjoyed thoroughly.

Outside of the classroom Ian enjoys sports, cooking, travelling and spending time with family and friends. He is a keen reader of educational books and blogs and can often be found tweeting the work of other educationalists.
