Luke McKeown

Luke McKeown

Secondary PE Teacher

Luke gained his First Class Honours degree in Sport Science from Canterbury Christ Church University, where he also completed his PGCE in Physical Education.

Luke is joining Dover Court International School from a British International School in Dubai, where he started teaching Secondary PE in 2016.  He was also Head of Football. After spending some holiday time in Singapore, he fell in love with the country and now enjoys being part of the Dover Court team.

Prior to Dubai, Luke taught Physical Education at a grammar school in Kent, UK, as well as coached Rugby and Athletics. He particularly enjoys teaching Sports, Exercise and Health Science as part of the IB Diploma programme and the emphasis the qualification places on internationalism and independent enquiry.

Luke is passionate about sport and the benefits participation in different sports can have for young people. He believes that sport should be fun and accessible for everyone.

Outside of school, Luke enjoys travelling to different countries and is excited about the travel opportunities available from Singapore. He also enjoys playing and coaching football.
