'It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year'
Dear Parents,
The Oxford English Dictionary describes spectacular as 'beautiful in a dramatic and eye-catching way', and the whole school seasonal spectacular at the Ben Thanh theatre certainly fitted that description last night. In a change to our normal routine, the music concert, which is usually held in Spring, took on a festive theme and what a great celebration of music and singing it was. Congratulations to everyone at TX who took part, and a special thanks to Mr Jon, Mr Mike and Ms Heather who helped bring everything together.

New! Worldwide Summer Learning Opportunities
The end of the school year doesn't have to be the end of your child's learning. Through our Global Campus, Nord Anglia schools around the world offer a wide variety of summer programmes to inspire, challenge and excite your child.
Summer Performing Arts with Juilliard
Is your child a budding musician, dancer or actor? Our two-week immersive performing summer programme in collaboration with the world-renowned Juilliard School is the perfect opportunity. The programme will be held at Collège du Léman, our prestigious boarding school situated on the shores of Lake Geneva, Switzerland. Your child will be inspired to explore and cultivate their creative talent through a unique programme designed by The Juilliard School and taught by Juilliard-affiliated artists.

Cross Council Student Council Meeting

On Monday, our student council joined with the student councils from AP1 and BVIS for a joint meeting. I briefly met with Susu, the leader of our student council, who fed back some ideas and ways the children would like to see the school develop. I look forward to hearing more of their ideas in our next meeting. To find out more about the day, please follow the link:
PE, Clubs and Masters of Learning
When the children walked into assembly this morning, the children (and adults) were surprised to see a trampoline at one end of the hall. It soon became apparent that the theme for the assembly was all about getting involved in sport. Mr Ali introduced groups from three of our clubs; trampolining, ballet and hula-hooping, who each gave us a demonstration of what they had been up to this term. Did you know that at TX this term there have been 23 sports clubs covering 15 different sports?
For a glimpse of what the children at TX have been up to in their sports clubs, have a look at the video below:
Following the fantastic displays, it was time once again to celebrate children who have worked hard in a particular aspect of their learning. Congratulations to all those children who were awarded badges for 'Enquiry' and 'Global Citizens'!

Our children have also been busy competing in various sports this week. Have a look at Mr Ali’s PE Update to find out about how the boys got on in the city basketball championships and how everyone did in the inter-house athletics competition. We also want to wish our swimmers every success as they take part in the Feeding Frenzy swim meet in Bangkok this weekend.
Parents’ Corner

It sounds like the ladies had a lot of fun at the ‘Ladies Night’ at the Caravelle Hotel last Friday. We are also looking forward to the potluck lunch on Wednesday next week. For more details, please see the post:
Important Information
Today, your child will have received their 'Interim Report'. Please read the accompanying letter and take time to look at the report with your child. Ask them questions about what they have been doing, consider how they can achieve their targets and follow the suggestions in the 'How You Can Help' section. These reports are so much more than 'As', 'Bs' and 'Cs', and I hope you find it informative, and that it is useful in helping your child make further progress.
As you know CHQ club sign up closed today at 4.00pm. Ms Emma will be busy allocating clubs next week; you will be notified when this process is complete. Clubs begin on Monday 25th January.
We are also looking forward to the EYFS Production (with special guests - the Milepost 1 Choir) 'Countdown to Christmas'. The children will be performing on Wednesday 16th December at 8.30am in the Sports Hall. It is going to be memorable, so make sure you have that date in your diary.
With only one week left of term, can I remind everyone that school finishes at 11.30am on Friday 18th December and will reopen on Monday 11th January.
Finally, please remember to look at your child's class blog - there is a lot of information about what they have been doing and upcoming events that you need to be aware of. You can find a list of the class blogs by following this link:
