ABRSM is the UK’s largest music education body, one of its largest music publishers and the world’s leading provider of music exams, offering assessments to more than 630,000 candidates in 93 countries every year.
This prestigious organisation aims to inspire achievement in music. They support high-quality music-making and learning around the world in partnership with the Royal Schools of Music. They offer pathways and resources for learners and teachers to develop musical skills, by providing goals and encouraging progress.
ABRSM has been giving structure and support to musical development for over a hundred years and they have set their standards accordingly. During their tenure much has been tried, tested and consolidated. We use that wealth of experience for the benefit and guidance of the many hundreds of thousands who regularly take the grades, knowing that they are part of the most respected and valued system of music exams in the world.
If you are working hard to wish to make continued progress with your music, the ABRSM theory exam is a great way to recognise your success and to reassure yourself that you are on the right road.
The next ABRSM theory exam will be held on Saturday 7th November in the BIS secondary auditorium. The deadline to get in your application is 11th September. Application forms are available online at www.abrsm.org or from the secondary cashier.
REMEMBER, TO TAKE A THEORY EXAM GRADE 6 AND ABOVE YOU MUST FIRST HAVE PASSED GRADE 5!
Please talk to a music teacher for more information.
