As part of their course, the IBDP students needed to do some market research for a toothbrush design project, and Year 4 were happy to help! Read about the aims of the session in the paragraph below written by by Navaporn Sirichantaropas, Jia Hong Le, Anne-Lien Juelsbak and Linh Duong.
We look forward to more collaboration between primary and secondary with a view to learning from each other.

Hello from APS IB Design Technology Students.
We visited An Phu Primary to conduct initial research for our new project. We all collectively asked the students about their own preferences on toothbrushes. We worked together to measure, interview, and draw our findings to collect the best results for our coursework.
The young students really helped us to understand our consumers since we are aiming our products at children. We now have a clear image and learned a lot of new things as designers!
We learnt that children have large imaginations which we can use to help shape the direction of our project. They enjoy accessories that might be included on the toothbrush and much, much more.
Working with Year 4 was very energetic, and they provided a lot of information and perspective for our project. They love to ask questions which is very engaging. After all of these results, we will be to create our own new and well-designed toothbrush based on the research we have done. Then, using our school 3D printer, we can turn our imagination into a creation. It was a fantastic visit and we'll be coming back to show off what we made together!
