Year 2 Science Topic - ‘Health and Growth’

26 May 2016

As part of our Science topic ‘Health and Growth’, Year 2 have been learning how to be safe around medicine.

It was exciting and fun to have a visit from Nurse Shen, who told us all about different types of medicine. We found out that scientists make medicine in a factory. Also, the reason it is different colours is so you can tell it apart and not take the wrong medicine by mistake. If a doctor gives you medicine, you mustn't share it. That could be really dangerous!

Nurse Shen gave us a quiz to see how much we had learnt. We did really well and as a reward, we received a bookmark to remind us how important it is to be healthy.

Thanks Nurse Shen for helping us learn lots!
