As a school, we are dedicated to providing a stimulating educational environment that encourages enquiry and inspires a love of learning on a global scale. Every BIS HCMC student is part of a wider global community which enriches each child’s education with extraordinary opportunities. Our collaboration with the world’s leading performing arts institution; The Juilliard School not only strengthens our performing arts curriculum but provides direct access to Juilliard’s worldwide network of performers.
Excellence through inspiration
By combining our Global Campus Online platform and our collaboration with Juilliard in the new “Ask the Artist” interactive forum, students now have the opportunity to engage with alumni from The Juilliard School who have selected the performing arts as a career. They are encouraged to ask insightful questions to gain a greater understanding of their art, training, career and experience. By utilising the Global Campus Online platform, our students are also able to interact with and learn from our network of 49,000 Nord Anglia Education students from across the world.
For the first in the series of “Ask the Artist”, students are given the chance to read about and pose their questions to Juilliard alumni Riley O’Flynn. Riley is a dancer and choreographer who began performing musical theatre at age 5 and dancing when he was 13 years old. After deciding to pursue his dancing at a professional level and attending The Juilliard School in New York he is now working professionally in Sweden.
If you’re a BIS student and you’d like to learn more about Riley and post your questions to him, then please log on to Global Campus Online.
Going forward, as part of the “Ask the Artist” project our students will have the opportunity to speak to artists from a variety of performing arts disciplines. Our aim is that these skilled artists will inspire our students’ minds to achieve their dreams and ultimately, Be Ambitious.
