Welcome to BIS!

Students in International Schools are no strangers to change. Today we launched a new process to support the smoothest of transitions into BIS for new students who join us.
A group of KS3 students have been selected to design and lead on the programme which aims to improve even further the warm welcome new students receive when joining us. In preparation for their new roles these students enjoyed training sessions led by Ms Webb and Mr Pugh as well as our School counsellor, Kim McWilliam.

The group showed why they are so well suited to this programme as they devised new and thoughtful ways to offer the very best of welcome and support. We look forward to their first opportunity to put the programme into action when our next new students arrive in January.
Christmas festivities arrive with Carols and Readings

The Carols and Reading performance last night was an excellent beginning to the festive season. Traditional carols to bring back childhood memories were teamed with a collection of thought provoking readings and poems around the theme of Christmas. We were all reminded of why this holiday is such an important time for families.
BIS students teach English to Year 5 children at local primary school

Our secondary students have enjoyed another great term at the local primary school, Huynh Van Ngoi, whilst teaching English to the year 5 students as a part of their co-curricular activity (CCA) and community learning.
Find out about how they have been helping these younger students to prepare for a Ho Chi Minh City public speaking competition. Good luck to the Year 5 students from Huynh Van Ngoi School.
