For many it was the first time they’d spent a couple of nights away from home without their families, but any initial nerves were soon replaced by excitement and smiles. Over the next few days the classes competed in sandcastle building competitions; practised yoga and mindfulness; built shelters in teams; and tested out their map reading skills during a treasure hunt. Of course, to cool off after all the hard work, plenty of time was spent taking a dip in one of the hotel’s pools and paddling in the sea. The evening activities gave another opportunity to mix with new friends - both at the quiz and when showing off their moves at the disco. The teachers and TAs were impressed by how brave some children were, as they stood up in front of the rest of the group to showcase their talents during the talent show. On the Wednesday (the end for some and beginning for others), all the children had time to catch up and play with friends on the beach before we went our separate ways.

All of the Y4 children were fantastic representatives of BIS HCMC, impressing us with their great behaviour whilst away. The trip helped all the children meet new friends, build team work skills and particularly grow in independence while away from home.

Well done Year 4 for making this an excellent trip for everyone involved!
