BIS HCMC Driver's Code of Conduct
Please find enclosed our newly updated Driver’s Code of Conduct intended for all those who drive to our school campuses both at drop off and pick up times. With key information in both English and Vietnamese, our aim is to further educate our drivers to make better choices when they enter the areas around our school campuses and within the Thao Dien area as a whole.

Please take the time to talk to your drivers about the Code of Conduct and ensure that it is visible in your car at all times. This will serve as a reminder about our expectations for all drivers when they are bringing children to school in the morning and picking them up at the end of the day.
Driver’s Code of Conduct
In order to keep our children safe on the roads outside BIS HCMC, both before and after school, please can you spend a few minutes of your time discussing the following points with your drivers.
- Never stop on or near to a pedestrian crossing – in order to ensure that our families can cross the road safely, please instruct your driver to park as far away from the main gates as possible to avoid congestion. Try walking a short distance to keep cars down to a minimum.
- Only park in designated areas – ask your driver to meet you at a convenient location away from the school gates and please ask them to never double park as this stops the flow of traffic at peak times. Alternatively, there is space to park past Hem 215 on Nguyen Van Huong. Drivers can wait here until a convenient time for you and your child to be picked up. Please never let them park on the pavement.
- Never U Turn along the stretch of road outside all 3 BIS campuses – tell your driver to drive away from school and if they have to U Turn, please do so on the wider, less congested roads. Try the route past Junior Campus along Nguyen Van Huong, as an alternative way to get home – it may take a few extra minutes driving but it will save the time you spend in traffic.
- Ask your driver to show respect to our guards and follow their instructions – they are there to keep you all safe and have a difficult job when drivers ignore their instructions.
- Be considerate of other road users - explain to your driver that their actions reflect upon your family. Ask them to respect all of our community to make our school the very best that it can be.

Quy Tắc Ứng Xử của Tài Xế
Nhằm đảm bảo an toàn giao thông cho học sinh trường BIS ngoài khuôn viên trường trước và sau giờ học, quý phụ huynh vui lòng dành một ít thời gian để thảo luận các điều sau với tài xế của mình.
- Không dừng xe gần hoặc trên vạch dành cho người đi bộ – nhằm đảm bảo an toàn cho các gia đình khi băng qua đường, vui lòng yêu cầu tài xế đậu xe cách xa cổng trường để tránh gây tắc nghẽn giao thông. Vui lòng đi bộ một quãng ngắn từ chỗ đậu xe đến trường để hạn chế số lượng ô tô xung quanh trường.
- Chỉ đậu xe ở những khu vực được chỉ định – vui lòng yêu cầu tài xế đợi bạn ở một địa điểm thuận tiện cách xa cổng trường và không đậu song song với một ô tô khác để tránh gây tắc nghẽn giao thông vào giờ cao điểm. Khu vực hẻm 215 Nguyễn Văn Hưởng có chỗ đậu xe cho tài xế trong lúc chờ phụ huynh đưa đón con. Vui lòng nhắc nhở tài xế không được đậu xe trên vỉa hè.
- Không quay đầu xe trên quãng đường bên ngoài các cơ sở của trường BIS – yêu cầu tài xế lái xe ra xa trường và chỉ quay đầu xe ở những khúc đường rộng hơn, giao thông thông thoáng hơn. Hãy đi đường Nguyễn Văn Hưởng đoạn phía trên Cơ sở Tiểu Học (JC) – điều này có thể mất thêm vài phút lái xe nhưng sẽ giảm bớt thời gian bị kẹt xe.
- Yêu cầu tài xế tôn trọng các bảo vệ của trường và tuân theo chỉ dẫn của họ – các bảo vệ được sắp xếp để hỗ trợ giao thông thông suốt nhằm bảo đảm an toàn cho tất cả mọi người. Họ sẽ gặp khó khăn trong công việc nếu tài xế không tuân theo các chỉ dẫn của họ.
- Tài xế cần có thái độ tôn trọng và tử tế với những người và phương tiện khác lưu thông trên đường – Vui lòng giải thích với tài xế rằng hành động của họ sẽ phản ánh hình ảnh gia đình của bạn – yêu cầu tài xế tôn trọng cộng đồng xung quanh để xây dựng hình ảnh một trường BIS tốt nhất có thể.
