It was a really special occasion during which we, as a school, recognised the students who have contributed so successfully to our sports programme during the year. We achieved amazing success locally in HCMC and internationally through the FOBISIA games and other events. Students and staff enjoyed a buffet dinner followed by the presentations to our high achieving students. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our wonderful students and staff for such a glorious evening and for their outstanding commitment to our sports programme throughout the year. A special thank you to Mr Phil Husband, our Director of Sport, for organising the evening and for his drive and commitment over the year.
International Weeks in schools are rather special events and what a great experience we had in the Primary School this week. Many wonderful activities celebrating internationalism took place throughout the week in all areas of the Primary School. Individual classrooms hosted activities which showcased particular areas of the world but there were also campus wide events such as the Global Café and the parade of nations in both the Infant and Junior Campuses. My visit to the Global Café was indeed a ‘filling’ experience! I endeavoured to visit each of the food stalls that were serving wonderful dishes related to their country. I was impressed by the enthusiasm of the parents who had prepared the food and were also serving their delicacies with the same enthusiasm. After visiting each of the food stalls I can honestly say that I had quite a decent amount of delicious food which, in turn, became my lunch for the day. The Parade of Nations in the EY&IC yesterday and the Junior Campus today were uplifting occasions full of colour and happiness. It is so wonderful when we can celebrate the various nations represented in our school with dance, music, flags, national costumes and such great pride.
I do hope that you all have a wonderful weekend.
