Community Service Clubs are popular and are now fully subscribed for Term 1. These clubs are a great way to get involved with the community through making new friends from local schools, trying new activities and sharing experiences with other children. Did you know that Community Service Clubs are in addition to your 2-club allotment? That means that even if you are already a member of two after school clubs, you can ADD a Community Service Club as a bonus. And every Community Service Club is FREE! Keep an eye out for more Community Clubs next term.
Some Community Service curriculum links are also starting in Term 1. Students from Years 1, 2, 4, and 5 will take part in great projects with their class. Here is a summary of what these students will do:

Play dates happen weekly in the Fundinotots Room. Students work on developing confidence and overcoming differences in ability.

Education for Development & Anh Minh School for the Audio Impaired

Year 2 students build confidence and friendships by overcoming disability, as well as cultural and social barriers through a curriculum-based exchange with Anh Minh school for deaf children hosted at both schools.

Nguyen Hien School Exchange

Nguyen Hien Government School
|
Lesson exchange with Nguyen Hien Government School. Students will become inspired by sharing their knowledge (using curriculum based activities) and will develop respect and responsibility towards others in their community.

Education Sessions with Poussieres de Vie

Students will be challenged to build confidence through new experiences. The project encourages leadership skills through teaching younger students.
