It was wonderful to see parents sharing their experiences about the school and the city. Being in a new city and school can be overwhelming for a lot of us, and the newcomers used this opportunity to share their concerns with the other parents and teachers.
A big thanks to all the parents who have contacted the PTG and offered help.
We are looking for volunteers who may help and/or run one of our Events. Please sign up using the links below:

Sub Committee details
The main Primary PTG Committee is now set up, but of course we are looking for parents to volunteer on different event Committees for the 2019-2020 school year. The events run by parents for the BIS students adds to the social fabric of the school. Please consider signing up to any of the committees that BIS is going to need to run the events. Remember, if an event does not have a committee to organize or volunteers to help, it won’t run. This sign up list is to create a steering Committee; the Committee will be in charge of coordinating the event. The school will help with the logistics and the funds needed to run each event.
Please do not hesitate to contact the PTG at the email address below:
PTG Bus Tour
On 9th January , the BIS Primary PTG organised a bus tour of District 2 and District 1. The bus left from the Early Years campus around 8:30 am and were back by 1 pm. This tour helped the new parents to know key places in District 2- like supermarkets, gift shops, restaurants, hospitals, dental clinics, child-friendly restaurants, and hair salons. In district 1 they visited Ben Thanh market and Saigon Square. We made a stopover at Landmark 81 before going for lunch at Annam Gourmet.
International Week is just around the corner. Starting this coming Monday 13th January to Friday 17th January 2020. A great event which unites our BIS friends from all over the world.
The Country Representative liaises with other country group members to share culinary delights from your child’s home country through the Global Café, on Tuesday 14th January and Wednesday 15th of January (open to parents). There will not only be food shared, but also an opportunity to dress the area where your food is served with a visual representation of your child’s fabulous home country.
This is a rewarding role within the PTG and we thank you for taking the time to consider your involvement towards the country groups.
The Australian Consulate-General will hold the 4th Australia Day Community Event in HCMC on Saturday, 11 January, 2020. Free entry for everyone and food and beverages can be purchased on site. A lot of fun activities like tug of war, sack races, slip and slide, cricket, AFL, rugby and live music.
