Staff Profile: James Goundry

James GOUNDRY (571x800)

History Teacher

BA (Hons) History, University of Oxford, UK

MA European Political Studies, College of Europe, Belgium

PGCE History, Canterbury Christ Church University, UK

James joined BIS in 2017 having previously taught History across the secondary age range for four years at two schools in London.  At his last school, James was also the head of the Politics department. In recent summers, James has twice helped deliver a teacher training programme to English teachers in China. In addition, he has spent time teaching English in South Korea, Paris, and the South Pacific. Before becoming a teacher, James worked as a business intelligence and political risk analyst. In his spare time he enjoys playing tennis and basketball, keeping abreast of current affairs, and (very slowly) learning the guitar.
