Staff Profile: Matthew Coughlin

Matthew Coughlin

Head of Psychology

BA in Sociology and Political Science, The University of Sussex, UK

PGCE Social Science (Psychology), Manchester Metropolitan University, UK

Matthew began his career in teaching at The Ashcombe School in Surrey, England.  At The Ashcombe School he was quickly appointed as Head of Department for Psychology and also taught Sociology and English. Matthew enjoyed his involvement in the school’s charity and service learning programmes and co-led residential trips overseas including extended visits to Uganda and Romania. Matthew is an avid Manchester United fan; he enjoys history, art and music and is passionate about understanding and questioning human behaviour. He joined BIS in August 2016.
