Key Stage 4 and 5 Nord Anglia Tournament Dec 2015

This week saw us select the squad for the Key Stage 4 and 5 Nord Anglia sports tournaments that are being held in Prague in Dec. It was a difficult decision to make and congratulations to the 17 boys and 17 girls who made their respective squads. The students will compete in both Volleyball and Basketball tournaments and this is I believe, the largest squad we have ever taken to this particular event. Those that did not get selected are still invited to attend training as normal and continue their progress towards these teams in future years.

A reminder to parents whose children are on the trip that the turn-around for payment and paperwork is relatively short and it is important that these deadlines are met. If parents have any questions about this trip please do not hesitate to contact me.

PE and Sport Parent Seminar: Thursday 19th October 2015 7pm – 8pm

This week I will be hosting a parent seminar to discuss with parents some of the key points on PE and Sport provision in schools. In this workshop (do not worry – you do not need to bring your kit) we will look at:

  • The role of PE and Sport in schools
  • The results of the parental questionnaire that was circulated at the start of the term
  • Some of possible directions for school sport in the future

I would like to invite those interested to come along and take part.

Thanks again for your continued support

Matt Lennon

Head of PE and Sport
