A busy week for the PTA

Christmas Giving Tree

This week the PTA have focused on the distribution of wishes from the Christmas Giving Tree.  Thanks to our wonderful charities team, we have had volunteers outside school every morning at Dabrowskiego and every afternoon at Limanowskiego.  With your support and generosity, we are planning to deliver 440 gifts to children in need around Poland.

Thank you very much for all of you who have already picked a gift to buy or donated cash. If you have not yet done so, please do. We still have 100 unallocated gifts to buy. Children are waiting for these presents, we have 2 lovely videos from last year which show just how appreciated those gifts are.

If you haven’t had chance to pick up a gift, you can still receive the wish list on Monday the 19th of November. The PTA vounteers will be standing in these places:

·    Outside the reception at Limanowskiego beginning at 2:45pm.

·       at DAB Campus anytime from Pani Ania,

·       from IB reception at your convenience.

Please remember to bring the presents by the Friday 23  November to the reception in LIM or Pani Ania in Dąbrowskiego.

After Monday 19th November if you still want to take part, either send in a cash donation in an envelope with your child’s name on to their class teacher, or contact us.

Please help to meet our commitment and bring joy to children in need around Poland.

Thank you.

Polish Independence Day

At a well attended coffee morning last Friday, we learnt a lot about Polish history from our fantastic guest speaker, Rafal Patla, from Warsaw Adventures.  It was a really interesting and informal presentation, which stimulated a lot of discussion and shared experiences of more recent history as well as Polish Independence.  We also enjoyed Polish pastries, Rogal Marcinski.

Thank you to Warsaw Adventures for sponsoring the event.

Polish Independence Presentation

Rogal Marcinski

Every student in school was offered a sweet Polish pastry, Rogal Marcinski, from the PTA to celebrate Polish Independence.

Thank you to all our PTA volunteers who came into school to help distribute the pastries.
