PTA Corner

You might have noticed that this week, your child brought home an informational letter and envelope for our annual Christmas Giving Tree charity drive.

By purchasing gifts for those less fortunate for themselves, the Christmas Giving Tree allows our children to experience the joy of thinking of others at Christmas time.

In anticipation of this year’s effort, our PTA Charity Committee has been busy collecting over 400 wishes from underprivileged children throughout Poland. With your generosity and support, we hope to deliver gifts to:

  •  348 orphans and underprivileged children at 24 homes in Gdansk, Sopot, Krakow, Plock, Wyszogrod, Gostynin and Warsaw in partnership with the Pankracy Foundation.
  • 16 persons with special needs in Trzebinia with the Brother Albert Foundation.
  • 40 children from poor families in Warsaw in association with the Broken Ties charity. We will also deliver 20 Christmas hampers to these families.

Wish lists will be available next week at Dabrowskiego and Limanowskiego. Presents and monetary donations are due by Wednesday 20 November.

Following last year’s success, the school will again organise and fund three separate trips for select students from Primary, Secondary and IB to deliver your gifts. It means a lot for these children to meet the students from our school bearing your gifts and best wishes.

To experience the joy brought by your contributions, please follow these links to last year's present opening events at two schools. The videos are beautiful and it is lovely to see the children receive their presents.
