Quick! Evacuate!

Year 5 were unexpectedly evacuated from the school site on Monday afternoon.

A long voyage to find a safe place had begun. We walked and walked and walked until we finally found somewhere suitable to set up camp. Unfortunately for Year 5, they were lacking supplies for a shelter so they had to trade what they had carried with them for wood, string and covers.

As the sun was shining, the first things to go were coats and hats. Quickly followed by water and food. Some later regretted their decisions once the temperature had dropped. The shelters made were of a high quality and even withheld a frightful storm! A wonderful way to start our new IPC topic ‘Moving People’
