Pleased to meet to you..... Christopher Kinlan

This week we are pleased to meet Christopher Kinlan SENCO, Head of Year 7

Christopher Kinlan small

Where are you from originally?

Born in Cambridge, England but grew up in Broadstairs, Kent.

Have you lived in any other countries?

I worked as a professional dancer for over 10 years and spent much of the time working for Carnival Cruise Lines, so I lived on a ship that visited many different countries all over the world.

Where and what did you study for your education?

Initially, I studied Performing Arts at De Montfort University and most recently I attended the University of Roehampton in London for my Post Graduate Studies.

How long have you been at TBS?

This is my second year at TBS.

What do you enjoy most about teaching at our school?

I fully believe in a holistic approach to learning ensuring every aspect of a young person’s development is enhanced and I am lucky enough in my roles as SENCO and Head of Year 7 to be able to help our students balance making excellent academic progress and excellent social/emotional progress.

What are you most looking forward to in the 2018/2019 academic year?

I am lucky enough to be the Trip Leader for our upcoming Nord Anglia Expedition to Lake Natron in Tanzania with our Year 12 students in March. It is the first time we are attending this particular expedition so it will be a fantastic experience for all of us which we will look to continue in years to come.

What is your favourite thing about living in Warsaw, Poland?

I have made some great friends here in Warsaw in the short amount of time I have been here who help to make living in Warsaw fantastic! Warsaw as a city is amazing and you can always find something new and exciting to do here.

What do you miss most from home?

My family, without question 😊
