Xin nian kuai le! Reception classes rang in the New Lunar Year in style last Friday!

From tasting yummy dumplings at a Chinese "restaurant" to making beautiful Chinese fans and fireworks displays to learning the Chinese New Year dance, we certainly brought far-Eastern culture to Dąbrowskiego on 1st February.

These extra special days help the youngest at our school to realise that not only are we all unique but also that each of our families and cultures celebrates in different ways and at different times at home but that regardless of our background, each and every one of us can celebrate together, teaching each other about traditions particular to one group!

We've now started the Year of the Pig and according to the Chinese zodiac, this year symbolises wealth and good fortune! Let's wish each other the same! Huge thanks to all the parents and grandparents who helped us last Friday, in all three classes!
