And the winner of the TBS Mascot naming competition is…….

Having received many Mascot suggestions, over the past week, students have been voting for their favourite from a shortlist of 3.

  • Mascot visual

In a close contest, the winning Mascot name is.......The Hurricanes.

Proving more popular than 'The Hussars' or 'The Bumblebees' with the students, The Hurricanes provides a fitting link between the British and Polish roots of the school. During the Battle of Britain No. 303 (Polish) squadron, flying the Hawker Hurricane, were the highest scoring Hurricane squadron, demonstrating skill and bravery.

Now begins the exciting opportunity for students to assist in the design of the Hurricane mascot logo which will be proudly displayed in all of our gyms and around the school. Details of this will be shared via class teachers and form tutors before the Easter break.

Many thanks for all contributions made so far to the process.

Gooooooooo........ HURRICANES!!!
