Message from our Head of Secondary

Hello, what’s this?  07:40 on a Monday morning and our students are already arriving?

  • First Day of School Secondary 2
  • First day of school 3

This was the first day of school, they were eager and excited.  I am sure their summer was great- it certainly seemed so - relaxed, tanned and tall, they arrived eager to see their friends (and teachers) again.  It was a similar scene the week before when all the staff arrived back in school – we are all big kids really!

What these scenes emphasised to me was the importance of our school community and how we all value it; through the friends we make, colleagues we work with and all those we forge friendships with. We are welcoming many new families into our community and I know that they will be warmly welcomed and they will quickly feel that they belong. This year we have many events planned which help foster this sense of community and we start off with our Summer Fair tomorrow.

I am looking forward to seeing many of you there.

Have a lovely weekend.
