It was great to see so many of our students unleash their hidden musical talents. Most importantly, the group raised a good deal of money for their cause which we know will genuinely help a family get a little girl the treatment that she needs. We hope to establish this event firmly in our yearly IB calendar, and this is another “first” for this particular group of Year 13 students.
Speaking of another first, this week was also gear check week for Kilimanjaro. We are literally days away from leaving now and it was, reassuring to see that the 7 students on the trip taking the check seriously. We were able to tick off almost everything on everybody’s list, with a last couple of minor items being bought over the weekend. This will be an adventure we will never forget.
Finally, we welcome back our Year 12 Tanzania students who have had an incredible service learning experience over the last seven days. I have no doubt that we will get to read more about this in next week’s newsletter.
Have a great weekend.
