Kasia's Craft Corner - Make and Impossible Floating Table

Recently, a lot of my friends and family have taken to redesigning their rooms after having spent so much time in them.

Table 1

This week let’s impress those aspiring interior designers in our lives right now by creating a seemingly impossible, floating table!

The two layers of this table is connected by nothing but thin string, so how does it manage to stay upright, let alone support a rock on top? After making the table, try and research why because, despite its name, this physics behind this table is not impossible!

You can make this table using any spare materials you have around the house- this Wired article shows that you can even make it out of Legos, as well as provides the theory behind the magic of the table, so please do give it a read!

As usual, I would be delighted to receive some emails to Katarzyna_Murawska@thebritishschool.pl, showing me your inventions!

See you next week,

Kasia
