Our parents are involved in many different ways: sometimes with and sometimes without their children. Parents’ relationship with our school is key to its development and its delivery of its vision and mission. Explore some of the many ways our dedicated parent community helps connect our school family.
Besides playing an active partnership role in your child's learning journey, BISW encourages parents to be involved in the school community in the following ways:
- Join the BISW Parents' Association, who regularly coordinate parent and family events, support new families in learning about the school and local area, and more (see our downloads section below for more information),.
- Parents in Partnership Program for Secondary School
- Annual Parent Survey
- Volunteering for various excursions, sports days, and other events throughout the year

Read what some of the BISW parents have to say about their children's expereinces:
My three kids have attended private school in Washington. The teachers at BISW are the best of all. The quality is consistent. They are able to manage kids with different levels of academic standing and keep them motivated. Truly outstanding professionals. -Muhammed A.
My kids have made great academic strides at BISW and love coming to school. - Patrick S.
Thanks for your efforts and the great support from school and Minna's friends in making this transition across counties and schools so smooth and enjoyable... [she] is so enthusiastic and motivated about school and learning, like we have never seen her before, and engaging with her friends and school activities. -Erika J.
From parents of prospective students:
I wanted to thank you, the BISW staff, and the students for the warm welcome and great introduction that you all provided to Sasha and Mikaela yesterday. Both girls felt so warmly received and completely comfortable for the entire day. They came away from the day very enthusiastic about the school, the dynamics among the students and the involvement of the teachers. You all seem to be doing something quite right at BISW - Nicola R.
