Alec Magee

I started working at BISW in August 2018. I am teaching physics at the IGCSE and IB level, and science to years 7 and 8. I also have a role as a year 7 form tutor, which involves looking after the general welfare of my group of students, guiding them through their daily lives at BISW.I previously worked at an international school in Nairobi, Kenya, prior to which I was teaching in the UK, near where I grew up in South Wales. I did my teacher training at Cardiff Metropolitan University, after completing my bachelor’s in physics at the University of Bath.

Outside of school, I am a keen amateur photographer, which has led to my running the photography club at BISW.

Why do you love teaching?

I love teaching because it lets me share my passion for science with the students, and help them attain their potential.
