Director of Finance and Operations

Director of Finance and Operations

I am responsible for leading the accounting and finance function and staff.

I attended St Joseph’s University in Philadelphia on a track scholarship, earned varsity letters in cross country and track, and was team captain of the track team during my senior year. After graduating with a degree in accounting and with more than 25 years of experience, I assumed positions in accounting and finance for companies such as SmithKline Beecham, Hershey Foods Corporation, Waste Management, and the University of Maryland. While at Maryland, I earned my MBA as well as a Master of Science degree in Cybersecurity Policy. Earlier in my career, I passed the CPA examination in Pennsylvania. Before my hire at BISW in January 2018, I worked as an independent consultant for two years.

At BISW, I am responsible for leading the accounting and finance function and staff.  My position is accountable for supervising purchasing, accounts payable, travel, billing and collections, facilities, IT, security, and transportation.  I am directly responsible for financial reporting, variance reporting, and budget development at the school.

Away from work, I enjoy traveling with my wife. I also enjoy watching basketball, and track and field, and “American” football. My favorite teams are the Philadelphia Eagles and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill men’s basketball team.
