Mr Sam, our new Year 1 teacher at the Primary School, holds an Upper Second-Class Honours (2:1) in (BEd) Primary Education and has been teaching early years for many years before joining our school.
Ms Jasmine, our new Drama teacher at the High School joins us this 2023/2024 academic year. She taught Drama and Dance at UNIS Hanoi in Vietnam for two years and Drama at the International School of Penang (Uplands) in Malaysia for four years. She holds a Master's Degree in International Performance Research from the University of Warwick, another Master's Degree in Theatre Studies from the University of Amsterdam, and PGCEi from the University of Nottingham.
Ms Lauren, our new Head of PE at the High School joins us this 2023/2024 academic year with experience in teaching in Malaysia, Hong Kong and Slovakia. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Education in PE with Honors from Edinburgh University.
Mr Keiran, our new Chemistry teacher at the High School is joining us in the upcoming 2023/2024 academic year from the British International School Ho Chi Min, Vietnam. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Science with Education and QTS.
Mr Joe, our new PE teacher is joining us in the upcoming 2023/2024 academic year from Dulwich College Shanghai, Puxi. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Science with Upper Second Class Honours.
Sali will be majoring in Arts and Sciences at Maxwell School and received a total of USD 40,000 scholarship.
Venesa is planning to pursue her studies in Neuropsychology BSc. She has received offers from the University of Toronto, University British Columbia, Queens Mary University London, University of Nottingham, University of Bath, Kingston University London, and the University of Manchester.
My university plans for after graduation consist of studying Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics (PPLE) at the University of Amsterdam. To receive this offer, I had to get through several rounds of admissions such as an essay, a financial and study plan, a test and an interview, which results in only 200 applicants being selected amongst the thousands of applications.
My plan for next year is to either study at Yonsei University or Hanyang University. If I choose to study in Yonsei I will be taking the integrated science and engineering division as my major. However, If I choose to study at Hanyang I will be taking information systems as my major.

On Friday and today we held five Awards Assemblies, for Years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 - current Year 11 students will have their Awards Assembly at the beginning of next term.
I am headed to New York City to study photography. It's very exciting and only slightly terrifying but I am sad to be moving on from St Andrews.
All of this wonderful activity is gradually building momentum for the Summer Art Festival, which will culminate in a showcase of music, dance and drama in the theatre on Wednesday 14th June.
I am planning to go to Boston University for university, and there I hope to continue my passion in sports and academics.

Saturday night’s Graduation of the Class of 2023 was a lovely evening, celebrating the end of their St Andrews journey for 100 Year 13 students, along with their families and their teachers.
The Oopy Gloopy Slime Company, founded by Mickey, Raima, Sangdad and Tayla in Year 10, is a business which specialises in… you guessed it, slime!
I am delighted to congratulate two of our Year 9 students who entered the recent NAE Global MIT Steam challenge. Carina and Pun Pun entered this competition videoing themselves as they moved through the different stages of their design process to create excellent models.
This week will see the performance of HONK! The Key Stage 2 production. The cast and crew have been working tirelessly all year to make this wonderful show come to life with incredible costumes, wonderful scenery and amazing acting and singing. The dates of the performances are Tuesday, 24 May 2023, Wednesday, 25 May 2023 and Thursday, 26 May 2023.
