How has St Andrews helped prepare you for university?

My subject teachers and coaches taught me how to effectively manage my time. At university, I think I’ll be able to utilise this so I can study hard while still enjoying my life outside of studies. I also learned the importance of a great community in St. Andrews, and it has made me appreciate the importance of a great community and how it can make everyone a better person.

What have you learned from IBDP?

I learned that the IB moulds students to become all rounded and places everyone to be on the right track for university and even past university. The rigour of IB pays off at the end, and by finishing 2 years of IBDP, I know I can be confident in tackling any problem in the future.

Your plans for university or after graduation?

I am planning to go to Boston University for university, and there I hope to continue my passion in sports and academics. I am also considering transferring after a year to a better university.

Favourite memory from STA?

My favourite memory at STA is probably the prom. Our year never had a prom until this year, and it was definitely an experience I will never forget.

Any advice for students going into IB or Year 12s?

To those going into IB, I would just like to say good luck, because IB really is the beast that everyone says it is. It is a huge jump from IGCSE, and you should never let your guard down. For those in year 12, I suggest everyone start IAs/University essays/EE much earlier than you would like to, because the deadlines are much more difficult than they seem.
