Lauren Hucknall

Lauren Hucknell

Head of Year 12 and 13 / English Teacher

Lauren holds a first class BA(Hons) in English Literature and Creative Writing from Kingston University, London (UK) and a PGCE from the University of Roehampton.

An experienced secondary English teacher with over 15 years of working in UK and international schools, Lauren has also held a range of leadership roles, including Head of Key Stage and IB Coordinator.

She has a passion for pastoral care, helping to ensure all students are supported and challenged to reach their potential, and looks forward to getting to know the students at Regents. As an IB graduate and a previous A Level teacher, Lauren fully understands and embraces the challenges and opportunities that post-16 courses offer to students, and how important it is to embed the necessary skills throughout a students' education. This includes developing a love of learning, but also being able to approach a text critically, considering different viewpoints and interpretations.

Lauren particularly values collaborative and inquiry based learning, helping students to develop communication skills so they can work together (and disagree!) respectfully and effectively.
