Your child's stay in Florida

Students and chaperones will be staying at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort, a vibrant, retro-themed hotel in Universal Orlando Resort — about a 30-minute drive east from Windermere Preparatory School. Benefits for Cabana Bay guests include complimentary shuttle buses and walking paths to Universal Orlando Theme Parks and Universal CityWalk.

Amenities at the resort include:

• Complimentary Wi-Fi in guest rooms and public areas
• Cabana Courtyard – features a zero-entry pool with an iconic dive tower and water slide
• Lazy River Courtyard – features a zero-entry pool with a sand beach and a lazy river with waterfalls
• Galaxy Bowl – group-friendly 10-lane bowling alley (fees apply)
• Universal Studios store
• Multiple dining options throughout the resort, from grab-and-go (including a Starbucks®) to full-service restaurants

Students and chaperones will check in on Friday, January 23, and depart on Tuesday, January 27. Students will have their bed in a shared family suite with one or two other students. Family suites include two queen beds, a sofa bed, an in-room safe, a mini refrigerator, a hair dryer, and a separate bath and vanity area.

Please note: Windermere Preparatory students will not stay at the resort.

Getting around

All travel to the hotel, school, and activities will be arranged by Nord Anglia Education. Out-of-state and international students will fly to Orlando, while South Florida students will travel by bus. Prearranged buses will transport students to Windermere Preparatory School, the hotel, and all evening activities.

Chaperones

Your child’s safety is our highest priority. Students will be assigned a chaperone to ensure supervision throughout the entire trip. Each chaperone will oversee ten students and will be appointed by the Performing Arts Lead of each school. Only school staff may chaperone.
