NAIS Tigers D1 Girls Basketball Team

Last Saturday our D1 Girls NAIS Tigers Basketball Team played in the SISAC Plate Tournament @ Suzhou SSIS.

The girls quarter final was against WISS. The girls played  very well in a very physical game. The girls team ran out winners by 15 – 9. In the Semi-final the girls came up against a strong Nanjing International School Team. The girls played excellent as a team and dominated the game to win by a clear margin to reach the Plate final. In the Plate final the girls played SCIS Pudong. The 1st quarter the team were losing by 9 points. The rest of the game was very close but the will drilled SCIS PD Girls Team to win by 27-18 in the plate final. This has been a very good preparation for the ACAMIS Gold Division tournament in Beijing mid February.

 

NAIS Tigers D2 Girls Basketball Team

Our Girls NAIS Tigers D2 Basketball Team played in the SISAC D2 Cup Tournament @ BISS Puxi.

The girls quarter final was against a very strong German School team. The girls were outplayed and  lost by 27 - 7. The girls team played in the 5th – 8th Place Play off game vs. Livingston School. The girls played excellent as a team and dominated the game to win by a 25 - 22. In the 5th /6th Place Playoff Game the girls played Dulwich College. The game was very close and the girls lost by 1 point  in a game they should and could have won. The result was 19 – 18 to Dulwich. The girls have had a good season and have played well as a team. The progress they have made augers well for basketball at school in the future.

 

NAIS Tigers D2 Boys Basketball Team

The boys first game was against Livingston School. The boys were outplayed by a strong and well drilled team in the quarter final to lose by 24 – 5. The 5th /8th Play off game the boys played really well as a team against a good German School team. The boys won the game 30 – 27. The 5th /6th place play off game was the teams best performance of the day. The team played with confidence and dominated the first three quarters playing really good basketball. During the final quarter the boys allowed the opposition to get back into the game by not defending as well. On the last minute the boys were able to stop the opposition to win by 20 – 19 vs. SCIS Hong Qiao to finish 5th Place overall. This has been a very good preparation for the ACAMIS Gold Division tournament  in Beijing mid February.

 

18th – 21st January 2020 -- NAIS Tigers School Team Training and Fixtures

Saturday 18th January -- NAIS Tigers U19 Boys 11 A-Side Football team Vs WISS Stoke in the Shanghai Youth League @ NAIS from 2.00 – 4.00pm. HQ at approximately 2.30pm or 3.30pm depending on how well the team does in the tournament and drop off at school

Monday 20th January -- NAIS Tigers U11 Boys and Girls NAE/FOBISIA Football Training  on the Sportsfield from 3.15 – 4.15pm

Monday 20th January -- NAIS Tigers U13 NAE Global Swim Team Training from 7.00 – 8.00am

Monday 20th January -- NAIS Tigersharks Blue and Black Swim Team Training from 3.15 – 4.15pm

Tuesday 21st January -- NAIS Tigers U13 NAE Global Games Girls Basketball Team Training in Sportshall S from 3.15 – 4.15pm

Tuesday 21st January -- NAIS Tigers U11 NAE /FOBISIA Swim Team Training from 7.00 – 8.00am

Tuesday 21st January -- NAIS Tigers U15 Volleyball Team Training from 3.15 – 4.15pm
