Through all their fundraising over the past few months they have raised between them a grand total of RMB 62,334.40! Their target was RMB 40,500 so they have done fantastically well and thank you to everyone for getting involved and helping!
So that they can share their experiences, the Global Classroom will have a specific area known as Tanzania LIVE! dedicated to the activities and events of the expedition where you can keep up with what the students are up to.
Our students will start posting and uploading when they arrive in Tanzania on the 1 February and the site will be made up of a number of areas:
Serving the Community
Students, parents and teachers can click here to see images, videos and reflections on the renovation and teaching of Maua School, as well as the activities and experiences of Africa Day and International Day.
Here the community can see images and posts about the 2 ½ day excursions: Safari or Zanzibar and the key learning opportunities experienced.
Students will be given reflection time every evening where they can go on to the Global Classroom to post and discuss their experiences with your school community.
We then encourage an open line of communication where students in our family of schools can ask questions, provoke discussions and gain a richer perspective of the activities occurring in country!
Parents, you can log in too and follow their progress. Just follow this link and use the log in details below:
When you log in you will be able to view media, see how the trip is going and review the discussions. Please note that Global Classroom is a site for students, and to this end, we would respectfully ask for parents not to post on the site. The site will be moderated throughout the trip.
Good luck to the students giong off on the expeditionon on Friday - we can't wait to see and hear about how you get on!
