The Student Council

At the end of this week, we were pleased to award our Student Council members with their certificates and pins. Students joined Ms Ling Coong and our Principal, Andrew Lancaster for an informal ceremony in the Secondary foyer.

Congratulations to all the students who have taken part in the Student Council over the past year. Please find an overview of their achievments below:

  • Collaborated to identify what our strengths are as a school and identified areas of improvement in the different parts of the school (Academics, Pastoral, Music, Art, Charity, ECO, Sports & Language)
  • Attended various sessions run by staff on Leadership
  • Set goals and created an action plan together to implement within their groups and areas
  • Initiated and plan the fundraiser in response to COVID-19 crisis:

The events for the charity fundraiser inlcude:

  • Gaming for Good – students sign-up to compete to be the best in VR games, Fruit Ninja, Mario Kart or FIFA.
  • Charity Lunch Concerts – students pay an entry fee to watch our talented musicians.
  • Challenges  for Charity – teachers, students and parents complete various challenges for charity, donate some money to come and watch or sponsor others to take part.
  • BISS Wishing Well – students visit the Well of Knowledge to make a wish and donate to charity!
