Diane studied English Literature at Loughborough University and knew that she wanted to teach. She graduated and moved to Wuhan, China to teach a Grade 2 English class. She was meant to stay there for one year but extended her stay as she thoroughly enjoyed living and teaching in China. After leaving Wuhan, Diane moved to London to train professionally as a teacher and worked at a school in Stoke Newington, Hackney for five years, teaching years 4, 5 and 6.
Whilst being a classroom teacher, Diane also took the role of PSHE (Personal, Social, Health Education) lead for the last four years. She led weekly assemblies about the emotional development of children and lead an education scheme for children; teaching them how to manage their feelings in today’s society.
Teaching at BISS offers an exciting opportunity to teach and work with children from all over the world and experience an exciting opportunity to work with incredibly experienced professionals.
